Logo Design is just one aspect of a company.

Quite often it's a good Logo Design and a good web site template layout that makes people remember and recognize a company. A good example of this is McDonalds. They have one of the most recognized logos in the world as you wouldn't find many people that don't know what the golden arches stand for.

A logo is designed to be the symbol that represents an organization, company, service or product and sometimes certain places. Logos are designed to be used for emblems, flags, coats of arms and symbols. Hotel chains become recognized by not only their name, but by their logo as well.

There are many types of logo designs that include a slogan in the design. If you always see the same slogan in the same spot in the logo it's then considered to be part of the actual logo.

Color is an important aspect when designing logos. Since color has been associated with certain emotions it's important to keep this in mind while designing your web pages.

  • Red triggers power, impulsiveness and increases appetite. It can also trigger anger, impatience and violence. Be careful how you use red.
  • Yellow has a stimulating impact on memory. It triggers intelligence, organization and joy. Use in short bursts since it grabs your visitor's attention and helps them to remember.
  • Blue triggers feelings of tranquility, patience, love, understanding, acceptance and cooperation.
  • Orange triggers courage, confidence, friendliness and cheerfulness. It's considered to be a social color.
  • Green triggers all the emotions that are associated with yellow and blue. Its positive emotions are growth, hope, freshness, sharing, good health and soothing. Negative emotions are greed, envy, guilt and jealousy.

The way one color affects one person may not be the same for another. So when you're thinking about logo designs, keep this in mind. However, don't let it rule how you design your pages. If you aren't happy with the finished product, chances are your customers won't be either.
